Currently, my very favorite kitchen utensil is my bright red brand-y new kitchen aid mixer. It is a delight. I swoon every time I walk into my kitchen and see it sitting there, smiling at me, saying "mix something." I love the shape of it -- round and bulbous like Snoopy's nose or an old fashioned derigible. I love the chrome that's perpetually shiny because I like to clean it even when it doesn't need cleaning. I like that it's RED because RED makes a statement in my somewhat boring apartment kitchen. And I especially love the things that come out of it like brownies and pizza dough and dream whip and angel food cake and biscuits on a Sunday morning.
Wait, does a mixer count as a utensil? Or is it more of an appliance?
I don't care. It's still my favorite. =)
